Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often about buying, selling and renting timeshare in South Africa. Still not sure? Contact our team — we are happy to help.

What is timeshare?

Timeshare gives you the right to use holiday accommodation at a resort for a set period each year. You share the cost of owning and running the resort with other owners, so a yearly holiday costs far less than owning a holiday home. See our beginner's guide for more.

What is the annual levy?

The levy is a yearly fee every owner pays. It covers maintenance, staff, security, insurance and upkeep of the resort. It is separate from the price you pay to buy the timeshare.

How do I sell my timeshare?

Send us the details of your week or points — resort, season, size and levy — and we market it to buyers, handle the enquiries and manage the transfer. Start on our sell timeshare page.

How do I buy resale timeshare?

Tell us the area, resort or budget you have in mind and we find a match, share the details, and handle the transfer for you. See our buying checklist or send a buying enquiry.

Can I holiday at other resorts?

Yes. Through an exchange network such as RCI you can swap your week or points for stays at thousands of other resorts in South Africa and abroad. Read our guide to timeshare exchange.

What are the different seasons?

Resorts split the year into seasons — often peak, mid and low. Peak weeks over school and festive holidays are the most in demand, so they cost more and hold their value best.

How do your fees work?

Our fees are agreed with you up front, so you always know what you are paying before you commit. Please contact us for current fees. You can also read how we work.
